Women's Soccer: Waller Earns NECC Second Team All Conference Honors

Nashua, NH –  Daniel Webster women's soccer standout Amy Waller of Berlin, Mass. has been named to the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) All Conference Second Team, announced Monday by the conference office. The all-conference team is selected by the conference coaches.

The award is the second straight and third overall for Waller, who earned second team accolades last season and who was an honorable mention selection as a sophomore.

Waller, a senior goalkeeper, recently completed the most successful women's soccer goalkeeping career at DWC. This past season, she posted a 5.45 ERA with a .753 save percentage with one shutout, but did so for an Eagles squad that toughed out a 0-12-1 overall season. Along the way, Waller made a remarkable 219 saves in facing 293 shots on goal, and played every second of the season, encompassing 1,189 minutes.

Waller was simply remarkable on multiple occasions, making 10 saves or more in 11 of 13 contests, 20 saves or more six times, 25 saves or more three times, set a program record with 29 saves in a season opening loss at Suffolk University on September 7th, and added a memorable 25 saves in a 0-0 overtime tie with Mitchell College on October 9th.

Waller capped her career earning every single season and career record for goalkeeping in program history. She finished her four seasons with a 2.77 GAA spanning 64 career games, encompassing a remarkable 5,841 minutes with a 592 total saves, a .767 save percentage and an average of 9.25 saves per game. She also completed her career with an overall record in goal of 19-39-5 with 13 shutouts.
