Waterville, Maine - The Thomas women's lacrosse team picked up a 15-6 win over Daniel Webster in a non-conference game Sunday afternoon at Bill Alfond, on the campus of Colby College.
The Terriers' top performers for the afternoon were Jillian Lambert and Ceara DiBiase with three goals each. Natalie Bates scored a team high three goals for the Eagles on the afternoon.
Daniel Webster jumped out to the quick start as Bates scored two minutes into the game and gave the Eagles the 1-0 advantage. After an early timeout by the Terriers, they would then go on to score six unanswered goals. DiBiase started the scoring for the Terriers at the 25:54 mark, netting her first goal on the afternoon.
Lambert, Terissa Ridge, Kim Migliara, Jennifer Day, and Brianna Yates followed DiBase's goal with one a piece to give the Terriers a 6-1 lead. The Eagles would answer scoring two man-up goals off the stick of Bates to get them within three, but that's as close they would get. The Terriers added five more goals before the half from Yates, Day, Lambert, Toral Nelson, and Brittany Premo to give them the 11-3 lead at halftime.
DiBase picked up where the Terriers left off to begin the second half scoring 30 seconds in.
Daniel Webster out-shot the Terriers in the second half 14-12 but were only able to net three goals, with two by Kaylea Parkin and the last from Samantha Cotoni. DiBiase, Lambert, and Premo would each add another goal for the Terriers to cap off their 15-6 victory over the Eagles.
