Women's Ice Hockey: Davis Shines In Eagles Loss To Stevenson

Nashua - Daniel Webster goalkeeper Michelle Davis (McKinney, Tex.) made 90 saves - 11 short of the all-time NCAA Division III record - as host Daniel Webster dropped a 17-0 decision to Stevenson (Md.) in a Colonial Hockey Conference matchup Friday night at Skate 3 Arena.

Davis made 30 saves in the first period, 29 in the second and 31 in the third. DWC dropped to 0-15 overall (0-9 CHC) in their inaugural season as a NCAA program.

Madison Lange led first-place Stevenson (14-3-1, 6-0-1 CHC) with three goals and an assist. Genevieve McPherson added three goals. Samantha Medej tallied two goals and three assists.

Sarah Modzelewski made six saves for Stevenson.

The teams play game two of their weekend set Saturday at 8:00 p.m.
