Softball: Eagles Tabbed Fourth In NECC Preseason Poll
Nashua, N.H. - The Daniel Webster College softball program has
been picked to finish fourth of nine teams in the annual New
England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Coaches' Poll.
The Eagles 44 total points, following preseason favorite Lesley
University, second place Elms College, and third place Mitchell
College. The remainder of the field included Bay Path College,
Newbury College, Wheelock College, Becker College and Southern
Vermont College.
The Eagles will be led by first year Head Coach Alex Hill in 2010.
The Eagles posted a program best ever 19-16-1 record last season
including a 10-5-1 mark in NECC play, advancing to the post season
and final three of the double-elimination tournament.
The Eagles open their season on March 15th against Saint Joseph
(Conn.) as part of a five-game trip in Florida. DWC opens its
northern slate at home on March 20th against Regis College.
