June 30, 2010 11 Student-Athletes Named to NECC Spring Academic All Conference Team
The New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) has announced that 11 Daniel Webster College student-athletes have been named to the Spring Academic All Conference Team. The number represents a drastic 450-percent increase for the Daniel Webster athletics program after two student-athletes were named to the Spring academic team in 2009.
June 3, 2010 Five Student-Athletes, One Staffer Recenty Honored With College's Distinguished Service Award
Five Daniel Webster College student-athletes along with a student athletics staff member were recently honored in May by the College with the annual Distinguished Service Award (DSA).
The DSA recognizes and honors students who have made a distinguished contribution to campus life during a specific academic year. Nominees are solicited from the entire College community.
May 10, 2010 Softball: Eagles Place Four On NECC All Conference Teams
Four Daniel Webster College softball student-athletes have earned all conference honors including three who earned first team accolades from the NECC, announced as part of this past weekends championship tournament.
Junior Amy Waller of Berlin, Mass. earned first team honors at second base, junior Amanda Varricchio of Middletown, Conn. earned first team honors at third base, freshman Chelsey Crawford of Westfield, Mass. earned first team honors at outfield and senior Kristina Rieger of Concord, N.H. earned second team honors at shortstop.

The #4seed Bay Path Wildcats defeated the #5 Daniel Webster Eagles 8-0 in five innings of the 2010 New England Collegiate Conference Championship Quarterfinals this afternoon on the campus of Bay Path. The Eagles closed their season 13-17 overall.
May 2, 2010 Softball: Eagles Swoop Past Becker, Pick Up Fifth Seed For NECC Tourney
Senior Kristina Rieger (Concord, N.H.) made the final home games of her career memorable ones, combining to go 5 for 6 with a triple and three RBI and added a complete game five-inning victory in helping the Eagles sweep Becker College, 9-1 and 13-1 in a NECC doubleheader Sunday in the regular season finale for both teams.
The now-fifth seeded Eagles will travel to fourth-seeded Bay Path College on Tuesday for a one-game NECC quarterfinal matchup with a time to be determined.

The Daniel Webster softball team dropped both ends to first place Lesley University in a NECC meeting Saturday afternoon. The Lynx prevailed 18-6 in the opener and added a 9-4 victory in the nightcap.

Updated 4/28 - The Daniel Webster-Becker softball doubleheader was suspended in the bottom of the third inning of game one due to rain Tuesday afternoon. The two teams will restart the doubleheader on Sunday, May 2nd beginning at Noon at Eagle Field.
April 26, 2010 Softball: Crawford Earns Second NECC Rookie Of The Week Honors
For the second time this season, Daniel Webster College softball player Chelsey Crawford of Westfield, Mass. (Westfield HS) has been named Rookie of the Week by the New England Collegiate Conference. Crawford, a freshman center fielder, hit .433 (13-30), slugged .767 with two doubles, a triple and two home runs, scored nine runs, stole three bases, and knocked in 16 over an eight-game span this past week as the Eagles went 4-4 overall.
April 25, 2010 Softball: Eagles Outslasted By Path Path In Marathon Slugfests
In back-to-back slugfests that featured the longest home game in Daniel Webster softball history, Bay Path College outlasted the Eagles 16-15 in 11 innings and added a 9-8 victory in the nightcap for an exhaustive New England Collegiate Conference sweep at Eagle Field. Chelsey Crawford led the Eagles going 6 for 10 with a home run, a double and five RBI. Erin Hurd was 5 for 10 over the two games while Julie Medeiros and Amy Waller had four hits each.

January 13, 2010 Softball: Eagles Name Alex Hill Head Coach
The Daniel Webster College department of athletics announced today that Alex Hill has been appointed head coach of the Eagles' softball program.
"We are very pleased that Alex has agreed to join us and serve as head coach of the softball program," said Director of Athletics John Griffith. "Alex has demonstrated outstanding skills throughout his development as a coach and we are confident he will help us continue to build a quality softball program here at the College."
