Matt Correia begins his second season with the Eagles and first
as head coach.
Correia guided the Eagles to a nine-win season in 2011, the second
highest single season wins total in program histpry, ending with a
return trip to the NECC semifinals. He was the program's top
assistant in 2010 as the Eagles posted a 12-6-1 overall record, won
its second consecutive New England Collegiate Conference (NECC)
tournament title, and earned a first ever at-large bid to the NCAA
tournament.
Correia is a 2010 graduate of UMass Dartmouth with a degree in human resources and a minor in marketing. He played four seasons and served two years as team captain appearing in 67 of 68 possible contests. Over his final two seasons the Corsairs posted a combined record of 22-11-3 and reached the championship game of the Little East Conference in 2009.
A native of Dracut, Mass., Correia was an all conference selection as both a junior and senior at Dracut High.
Nick Beauchamp begins his second season with the Eagles in
2012.
Beauchamp is a 2007 graduate of Westfield State University where he
was a four-year letter winner and goalkeeper with the Owls and is
currently a member of Lowell United of the Massachusetts State
Soccer League.
A native of Dracut, Mass. Beauchamp is a also a former coach and counselor with the Star Goalkeeper Academy in Devens, Mass. and is a teacher at Lawrence (Mass.) High School.
