Ice Hockey: Eagles Fall At Rhode Island College
Pawtucket, R.I. - The Daniel Webster ice hockey team dropped an 11-3 decision to host Rhode Island College in a NECHA Colonial crossover matchup Friday night at Lynch Arena.
RIC jumped ahead 3:32 into the first before Adinolfo tied it off a Kerri Bell, Jr. (Cape Coral, Fla.) feed with 5:48 to go in the period. RIC tacked on a goal 1:20 later for a 2-1 lead after one.
The Anchormen broke it open scoring five times in the second with four over the first eight minutes of the frame before Hauch notched his first with 3;15 to go for a 7-2 game after two.
After RIC added two more early in the third, Hauch made it 9-3 off a Bobby Loranger (Billerica, Mass.) pass with 13:31 left. RIC tacked on two more over the final 11 minutes for the final.
The Eagles close the regular season Saturday night hosting Norwich in a Colonial North contest at 8:00 p.m.
