Men's Ice Hockey: Adinolfo, Monahan Help Eagles Edge Springfield, 3-2

K.J. Monahan's 50 stops helped the Eagles preserve the road win at Springfield Saturday.

Nashua – Josh Adinolfo (Manchester, N.H.) notched two goals including the eventual game-winner with 6:38 left in the second period and the Daniel Webster hockey team edged host Springfield, 3-2 in a NECHA Colonial North Division matchup Saturday.

Bobby Loranger (Billerica, Mass.) added a goal and K.J. Monahan (Nashua, N.H.) made 50 saves as the Eagles improved to 4-2 overall (3-2 NECHA).

Adinolfo put the Eagles up just 20 seconds into the first off a Shawn Glidden (West Bridgewater, Mass.) before the Pride tied it before the end of the frame for a 1-1 game after one.

Loranger put DWC back in front 6:21 into the second off a Corey Sabaitis (Findlay, Ohio) pass that started from Adinolfo. After Springfield tied it again, Adinolfo followed with his eventual gamer.

The Eagles are off until next Friday when they visit WPI for a NECHA matchup beginning at 7:30 p.m.
