  • Statement on Status Of Men's Basketball Program
    February 19, 2017
    Last night, a fight broke out during the last basketball game at Daniel Webster College. Police were immediately called to the scene to diffuse the situation and the remainder of the game was forfeited. Two students and one fan were arrested. Daniel Webster College’s primary concern is the safety of our students, staff, and guests. The behavior at last night’s game does not reflect the values and standards of sportsmanship we expect from student-athletes.
  • Men's Basketball: Eagles Hold Off Late Charge From Becker To Win, 87-83

    Jared Harrington (Upper Marlboro, Md.) led five players in double figures with a game-high 22 points as host Daniel Webster held off Becker, 87-83 in a NECC meeting Thursday night. Antwaun Boyd (Stamford, Conn.) added 20 points with seven assists for DWC, Angelo Adon (Silver Spring, Md.) posted 17 points off the bench, Ray Farmer (Nashua) netted 14 points and eight rebounds, and Marquise Caudill (Windsor, Conn.) chipped in with 10 points and eight caroms.

    Daniel Webster dropped a touch 87-83 decision at Newbury Saturday in NECC play. Eagles senior Ray Farmer (Nashua, N.H.) dominated the paint, scoring 23 points on 10-of-14 shooting and pulling in 12 rebounds.
  • Men's Basketball: Adon And Eagles Return Favor And Nip Wheelock In Closing Seconds, 76-73

    Six nights ago, Wheelock converted a three-pointer to beat Daniel Webster just before the buzzer. On Wednesday night, Angelo Adon and his Daniel Webster Eagles returned the favor. Adon sank a trey from the right corner off a Ray Farmer (Nashua) pass with 3.3 seconds on the clock and the Wildcats couldn’t get off a quality shot as the Eagles held on for a wild, 76-73 victory in the final regular season matchup between the NECC foes at Mario Vagge Gymnasium, bookending a home-and-home split for the squads.

    Daniel Webster senior Ray Farmer (Nashua) could do almost no wrong it seemed, Tuesday night against Elms. The forward finished 14 for 17 from the field (a career record), buried a three-pointer, was 2 for 3 at the line, and hit the 30-point mark for the first time in his career with a game-best 31 to go with eight rebounds guiding the host Eagles past the Blazers, 88-65 at Mario Vagge Gymnasium.
