The New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) has announced that 10 Daniel Webster College student-athletes have been named to the Spring Academic All-Conference Team.

Athletics: Waller, Adinolfo Named Student-Athletes Of Year Headlining DWC Annual Awards Night
Senior Amy Waller of Berlin, Mass. (Tahanto HS) and sophomore Josh Adinolfo of Manchester, N.H. (Governor Dummer Academy) were recently honored as the male and female Student-Athletes of the Year respectively, headlining the annual Daniel Webster College Athletics Awards Night ceremony on Thursday, May 3rd in the Collings Auditorium on the College campus.

Sophomore men’s basketball standout Daris Cosby of Albany, N.Y. has been named to the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) All-Conference Second Team as announced this afternoon by the league office. It is his first all-conference honor.

Junior John Hicksonnailed seven three-pointers on the way to a game-high 28 points and sophomore Daris Cosby added 25 points with four from beyond the arc guiding host Daniel Webster past Mitchell, 94-81 in a NECC clash Saturday at Mario Vagge Gymnasium. The Eagles improve to 2-6 overall and 1-1 in league play, while the Wildcats fall to 2-6 and 1-1.

Coming off a sub .500 campaign in 2010-11, the Daniel Webster men’s basketball program looks to revamp and jump back over .500 while looking to take a run at the New England Collegiate Conference title in 2011-12. Fourth-year Head Coach Dave Faucher won’t be lacking for depth. The Eagles, picked fourth in the NECC preseason coaches’ poll released Thursday, carried 15 on the roster last season and lost just four to graduation.
