Athletics: Parkin, Marstaller Named Student-Athletes of Year Highlighting Annual Awards Night
Seniors Kaylea Parkin of Red Hook, N.Y. and Darrik Marstaller of Spofford, N.H. were recently honored as the male and female Student-Athletes of the Year respectively, headlining the annual Daniel Webster College Athletics Awards Night ceremony on Wednesday, May 2nd in the Collings Auditorium on the College campus.
Athlete of the Year accolades were bestowed upon graduate student Vanessa Bosques of North Windham, Conn. and senior men’s soccer and baseball player Elliot Kilgore of Milford, N.H.

Field Hockey: Kelly's First Helps Send Eagles Past Fitchburg State
Senior Melissa Kelly chose a good time to score her first collegiate field hockey goal. The senior defender tipped home freshman Taylor St. Jean’s pass in front during a scrum off an Eagle penalty corner with 17:58 remaining and the DWC defense held down the stretch to give the hosts a 1-0 victory over Fitchburg State Thursday afternoon at Harvey Woods Field.

The Daniel Webster field hockey team has been picked sixth in the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) preseason coaches’ poll, announced today by the conference office. The club looks to improve upon a 4-8 overall record in 2011 including a 2-3 mark in conference play.
