Plansky Honored As NECC Rookie of the Week

Nashua - The New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) has announced that Daniel Webster College baseball player Peter Plansky of Litchfield, N.H. has been named the Conference's Rookie of the Week.

Plansky, a freshman third baseman, hit .571 (4-7) over two games last week with a double, triple, and two RBI. He finished with a slugging percentage of 1.000 and an on base percentage of .667 and went errorless in the field.

Plansky went 2-for-4 with a two-run double in a 7-6 loss to New England College on April 8th, and went 2-for-3 with a triple and scored two runs in a 9-6 setback at St. Joseph's College of Maine April 9th.

Plansky is currently hitting .298 overall (14-47) with two doubles, a triple, and seven RBI over 17 games including 14 starts.

Under the leadership of second year head coach J.P. Pyne, the young Eagles stand 2-16 overall (2-2 NECC) and return to action on Wednesday, April 15th as they host Anna Maria College in a regional matchup beginning at 3:30 p.m.
